    Highlighting Their Significant Role in Promoting Social Peace, Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim Calls on Civil Society Organizations to Assume their Responsibilities Towards the Suffering Displaced

    Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, stressed his full support for civil society organizations in their projects that are based on expanding the communication among all community components and his support for all the humanitarian projects they’re implementing. His eminence called on civil society organizations to assume their responsibilities in order to alleviate the crisis and difficult circumstances that the displaced are going through.
    This came when his eminence was meeting in his office in Baghdad, on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, Dr. Ali Anbori, chairman of the Iraq 2020 assembly and a number of activists in the organization that recently launched in Beirut through the support of activists, researchers, academicians, a short and burdened with the terrorist attacks and military operations in some provinces and regions. Dr. Ali Anbori expressed his joy that his eminence Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim understood the essence of the initiative and that the number of participants is increasing. He hoped that civil society organizations would play a role in reinforcing social peace and security as well as coexistence between the different components.
