Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Denounces Defamation and Confusion over Political Process and Popular Crowd Heroes in Iraq

Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Supreme Islamic Council of Iraq, condemned the defamation and confusion campaign led by Arab and international mass media to undermine the political process in Iraq and the heroic role of the popular crowd in fighting ISIS terrorist gangs, noting that this defamation aims at concealing the crowd heroes’ victories and championships in the battles’ arenas against the criminal ISIS.
This came in a meeting between, on Sunday April 26, 2015, between Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim and the former Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohamed Orabi and his accompanying Egyptian political delegation.

Both sides discussed changes occurring in the region, with emphasis on the need to coordinate and unify the visions between the Arab countries, especially between Iraq and Egypt to meet the challenges, especially terrorism which represents a threat to the region. They treated as well the political, economic and security situation in Iraq.
