During a Meeting with UK Ambassador, Sayyid Ammar Emphasizes the One Basket Principle to Enact the Major Laws at Parliament

Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, stressed the importance of adopting compromised solutions and reassuring all the components without exception, explaining that the real reconciliation and the peaceful harmony and coexistence between Iraqis require the adoption of the principles of committing to the constitution which must be considered as the legal authority that determines the claims and expectations, as well as of committing to the political process and the democracy, and accepting their outcome and acting accordingly, emphasizing the one basket principle to enact the major laws at the Parliament.
This came during a meeting held between his Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, and the UK Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Frank Baker, on Monday 27/4/2015 at his Eminence’s office in Baghdad.
