    In a Meeting with the Head of Dhi Qar Provincial Council, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Stresses the Need to Reactivate Investment Sector, to Adopt Administrative Centralization and to Shy Away from Political Wrangles


        Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, stressed the need to reactivate the investment sector in Dhi Qar province and the other provinces to overcome the financial crisis in Iraq, reiterating the importance of promoting the administrative centralization and of giving wide powers to the provinces, calling for putting in place the right security plans that maintain security and stability in the province, showing his support for the new composition of the Dhi Qar provincial council.
    This came in a meeting held between his Eminence at his office in Baghdad on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 and the Head of the Dhi Qar provincial council, Hamid Al Ghazzi along with a number of the members of the council.
        Moreover, his Eminence said the officials in the province must get in direct contact with the public and take care of the services sector and keep the provincial councils away from political wrangles, calling for enacting the law on the local revenues, and to ensure the province’s share from the public budget and the projects decided for the provinces proportionally to the population density and the injustice done to Dhi War, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and coordination between the governor and the provincial council.
        For his part, the head of the Dhi Qar provincial council thanked Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim for continuously supporting the development of the province and for resolving the problems and the challenges.
