    Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim Receives British Ambassador to Baghdad and Calls for Dealing with the National Initiative for Civil Peace with a High Sense of Responsibility


        Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, stressed the need for the national initiative of civil peace and state building take an active role, beside the military and security operations that our armed forces of all types are carrying out, insisting that this will be the start of a real new beginning if addressed with a high sense of responsibility. This came when his eminence received at his office in Baghdad on Sunday, 1/6/2015, His Excellency the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Iraq, Mr. Frank Baxter.
        The two sides discussed the security situation and the current military operations in Anbar and it surrounding and other divisions. His eminence called everyone to join efforts and ensure a high level of coordination between the security forces, the popular crowd, the tribe members and the Peshmerga forces. He also highlighted the role of the international coalition in eliminating the criminal ISIS gangs from Iraq, and insisted that the operations carried out by the coalition should play a more serious and active role in providing support and assistance to the Iraqi forces throughout their military operations in the context of the war on the terrorist ISIS gangs.
        Were also tackled during the meeting the mechanisms of national reconciliation, which will be focused on in the coming phase, as well as the regional developments and their direct and indirect impacts on the security and political situation in Iraq.
