Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim Discusses with U.S. Ambassador Security and Political Developments in Iraq and the Region
The head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, received at his office in Baghdad on Thursday, 7/2/2015, the U.S. Ambassador to Baghdad Mr. Stuart Jones.
His eminence discussed with the ambassador the security and political situation in Iraq and the region and praised the security achievements made by the security forces, the popular crowd, the Pershmerga and the Iraqi tribes, the most recent of which was the progress in Baiji. His eminence called in this context to support the security forces, the popular crowd and the tribes so that they free the entire land from the grip of ISIS.
Sayyid Al Hakim also tackled with the U.S. Ambassador the security and political developments in the region, especially in Egypt, and stressed the need to coordinate all the efforts made to confront terrorism.
