Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim Renews His Call for Forming a Regional and International Front to Fight ISIS, Its Essential Element Being Iraq

Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, renewed his call for forming a wide regional and international to fight the criminal gangs of ISIS with Iraq as its essential element. He warned at the same time all the states supporting ISIS through providing assistance and facilitations, being lenient or considering the terrorist group as a political pressure card. His eminence likened such actions to playing with fire and assured that they will eventually fire back on them and these states will be the first ones to be harmed. His eminence also called for supporting and arming the armed forces, especially the popular crowd and tribe members, and for ensuring a legal coverage for them through the National Guard Law. This came in the speech delivered by his eminence at the central celebration held in Baghdad today, Saturday, 4/7/2015, on the 34thanniversary of the establishment of Badr organization. Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim pointed out that the historical document issued by Imam Sayyid Ali Al Sistani (may Allah preserve him) is an integrated and clear image of the attitude that the fighters in the security forces and the popular crowd should have. He called upon the members of the security forces, the popular crowd and the tribes to adhere to this approach for it will be the way to achieve great victories without significant losses.
On another note, his eminence renewed his call to bring the displaced populations back to their freed regions and to provide the basic services in these regions, especially at the security level, as soon as possible. He indicated in this context that there are around three million displaced persons going through difficult and extraordinary circumstances. His eminence finally insisted that the citizens should take control of their regions, and must be armed, relied on and given a major role as they are essential partners in this country, they are thus worthier of it and they have to be on the frontline, which means that they should be supported.
