    In a Meeting with the Australian Ambassador in Baghdad, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Appreciates the Support Offered by the Australian Government for Iraq and its People

     
    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, praised the support provided by the Australian government to support the security forces in their war against ISIS criminal gangs, in addition to the efforts of Australian consultants, experts and trainers who contribute in the field of training and support, and the assistance provided by the Government of Australia in the field of agriculture and higher education.
     This came in a meeting between the Australian Ambassador Lyndall Saks and His Eminence in his office in Baghdad, on Monday, August 08, 2015, to mark the end of her work in Iraq. His Eminence expressed his thanks and appreciation for the efforts made by the Australian Ambassador in Baghdad, wishing her success in her future tasks.
     
    For her part, the Australian Ambassador highlighted the position of her country which supports the Iraqi Government and wished the Iraqi people good, progress and prosperity. She declared that Iraq is a successful country for what it owns of powers, possibilities and resources, and it is on his way to return to its original and strategic position in the region and the world. She also highly praised Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim’s national positions and his personal and bloc support to the reforms taken by the government and his commitment to the religious authority directives that seeks goodness to the Iraqi people with all its sects and components.
