Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Meets Iranian Foreign Minister and Affirms that Iraq Has Made Good Progress in Its Victory over ISIS

Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme of Iraq, stressed that the Iraqis have made good progress in fighting the terrorist ISIS. His Eminence stressed the unity of Iraqis in all their components in fighting this criminal organization, praising the Fatwa of the religious authority regarding Jihad and the unity of all Iraqis and their commitment to the directives of the rational authority. He noted that the results of the nuclear deal between Iran and the West and its positive effects on the region occurred thanks to the rational policy of Iranian officials. This came in a meeting between His Eminence and the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Javad Zarif, in Tehran, on Tuesday August 18, 2015.
For his part, Zarif stressed his country considered that strengthening its relations with Iraq is one of its priorities and that it supports Iraq in the fight against the terrorist ISIS, noting that this organization seeks to divide Iraq and destabilize the security and stability in the region.
