    During a Meeting with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Sayyed Ammar al-Hakim Says: We Support the Real Reform Process Which is Beneficial to the Iraqi Citizens, and not the Formal Reforms


        Sayyed Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Iraqi Islamic Supreme Council affirmed that he supports the process of real reforms which benefits the Iraqi people, and not the formal reforms, stressing the need for consultation with the main political forces to form a front to support the reform process.

    This came during his Eminence meeting in his office in Baghdad on Thursday 27/08/2015 with Mr. Ján Kubiš, the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI).
        His Eminence stressed the need for the House of Representatives to play its legislative and regulatory role on state institutions, emphasizing the need to focus efforts on the fight against terrorist ISIS gangs, along with the reform process and the fight against corruption.
       For his part, Mr. Kubiš stressed the alignment of views between the two sides in terms of consultation with the political actors in the country, noting that he will exert his best endeavors to support the reform and reconciliation process in the country.
