Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, renewed his support to the reform process carried out by the exclusive, legislative, and judicial authorities, calling for serious, comprehensive, radical reforms, and compatible with the law and the Constitution. His Eminence noted that demonstrations are constitutional right and will contribute to support the reform process, stressing on protecting the demonstrations from lurks who try to drag it into another areas of the state to hit it from its basis. Sayyid al-Hakim added that the general majority of the demonstrators are from the people who are affected and claiming for services, but there are few people who we must be cautious from.
This came when His Eminence chaired a meeting of Central Shura Council for the Martyr of the Niche Movement at his office in Baghdad on Monday 31/08/2015.
His Eminence pointed to the importance of meeting the demands of the demonstrators and preparing efficient and effective plans to end the crises that the Iraqi People are suffering from. He noted the importance of reviving investment of moral support to the security forces and Popular Mobilization Forces, stressing that their news must be on the forefront of the media because the battle with ISIS is a battle of existence. His Eminence warned from the attempts of dragging the chaos into central and southern regions, indicating the seriousness of the religious authority in calling for reforms and their patience toward this matter and its relevance with the Constitution and Law, and legislating the steps that happened to prevent it from being appealed in the future.
