Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, Head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, considered the return of Tikrit residents to their homes after liberating it from ISIS as a sample of achieving a national reconciliation, noting that the return of the residents did not witness any breakthroughs or reprisals and it happened easily. His Eminence stressed out that the national reconciliation is possible and it’s on two phases. The first phase is concurrent with the liberalization of the land from ISIS, and the second is concurrent with driving them out of the Iraqi land.
This came during receiving the Chairman of beyond the Scottish Borders Organization, Brian Brefaty, at his office in Baghdad on Tuesday 29/09/2015.
His Eminence warned from the growing of the terrorist gangs if it wasn’t wiped off existence, noting that among ISIS soldiers there are European citizens that will threaten the security of Europe. Sayyid al-Hakim called on the EU to give an exceptional importance of Iraqi immigrants and overcome the obstacles in front of them and give their case the priority for they are the most affected people from terrorism.
