Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, called upon the tribal and community leaders to intervene in order to end the phenomenon of tribal conflicts, warning of attempts to drag the chaos and to destabilize the security situation in the south through so measures.

His Eminence during his meeting with the governor of Basra, Dr. Majed Nasraoui, in his office in Baghdad on Sunday October 4, 2015 stressed the need to provide services to citizens according to the available possibilities, and to explain the financial realities of the province, as well as finding strategic projects that can solve the water problem in the city, calling for urgent health measures to eradicate the epidemic diseases such as cholera.
