    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, stressed the strong economic relations between Iraq and Iran as both countries have common interests that can be activated and developed, including the communication field. His Eminence noted that this field witnesses scientific breakthroughs and we must keep up with its evolution and the development of its national cadres.

This came in a meeting between the Iranian Minister of Communication Mahmoud Vaezi and His Eminence in the latter’s office in Baghdad, on Wednesday October 28, 2015.

His Eminence discussed with Vaezi the bilateral relations between the two countries, the war against ISIS, the role of the popular crowd in the victories and the liberation of more than 100 thousand square kilometers from the hands of ISIS, declaring that Iraq aspires to achieve more victories in the coming days.

Both sides discussed as well the regional political developments and the importance of dialogue to resolve the region\'s problems.
