    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Discusses with UN Special Representative Security Situation Developments and Displaced People’s Conditions

        Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, President of Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, received in his office in Baghdad on Wednesday November 25th, 2015, the Special Representative of UN  Secretary-General in Iraq, Jan Kubis.
    \r\n
    His Eminence discussed with Kubis the greater role that UN should play in Iraq by helping displaced people, alleviating their suffering, as well as to contribute into the success of the International Conference for the Reconstruction of the Liberated Areas. He also indicated the importance of the national reconciliation project and the move toward a historical settlement based on what we have given to Iraq before asking what Iraq gives us, expressing his confidence in the stronger capability of Iraq to overcome its current ordeal.

        Concerning the file of reforms, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim mentioned that reform needs the awakening of all from their positions, the legislation of laws that make the reform free and not shackled or incompatible with the law and the Constitution, provided that this reform is radical, serious, comprehensive, and balanced.
