Kurdish political forces denied the Turkish incursion in the city of Mosul and the recruitment of armored regiments under the pretext of contributing to the support of fighting terrorism. Moreover, a delegation of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan headed by Mr. Bakhtiar, leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), expressed its refusal to enter any forces to Iraq under the pretext of fighting terrorism during a meeting with Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq at His Eminence office in Baghdad on Saturday December 12th, 2015.

For his part, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim considered the Turkish incursion in Iraqi territories without the knowledge or consent of Iraqi government is unacceptable since Iraq and Iraqis have proved in one year their high ability to liberate the land from ISIS by their security forces, Popular Mobilization Units, Peshmerga, and Iraqi clans. He also indicated that Iraqi sovereignty is a red line and that the crises constitute an opportunity to reveal the intentions, calling for a unified political position of all political forces that is to refuse the breach of Iraqi sovereignty by any party.

During his meeting with the Kurdish delegation, His Eminence noted that it is important to have a ceiling for the disputes, so the political blocs do not go beyond it. In fact, the political action cannot allow the politicians to dispute on the Iraqi sovereignty because it is for the country and the people, it does not belong to anyone, and does not constitute a matter of political competition.
