    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, participated, on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, in the fortieth day of Dr. Ahmad Chalabi’s death.

His Eminence recalled the deceased’s role in building the new Iraq and the latter’s efforts to mobilize the world public opinion against the dictatorial regime and to dismantle the international isolation of the Iraqi opposition, noting that Dr. Chalabi played an important role in fighting corruption and providing economic visions that may redress the Iraqi reality. Sayyid al-Hakim said he’s sure the National Congress leadership will pursue Chalabi’s run.
