Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, discussed with the Minister of Interior, Mohammed Salem Al Ghabban, the security situation in Baghdad and the provinces and ways to combat organized crime.

During his eminence’s meeting with Al Ghabban at the former’s office in Baghdad, Sayyid Al Hakim commended the active role played by all the forces of the Ministry of Interior, in particular the federal police, in combating terrorism. He also praised the steps taken by the Ministry towards adopting an e-government system which includes for instance the national card. His eminence called upon the Ministry to communication with social leaderships in order to limit some negative phenomena like tribal conflicts and others, urging the citizens to collaborate with security apparatuses for they are the first and most important source of intelligence information.
