    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim discusses with United Nations’ special envoy Mr. Yan Kobish the role of United Nations in addressing displaced families in Iraq and reconstruction of liberated Iraqi areas

    His eminence renewed his condemnations to Al-Muqdadiya incidents, expressing his admonition to take advantage of current events for political benefits and for giving priority to insular interests over the commonweal which afflicted all, indicating that Muqdadiya bombings was condemned by all sides and the Supreme Islamic Council in Iraq (SICI) was the first to respond to this attitude.

    During Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim meeting with United Nations’ special envoy Mr. Yan Kobish at SICI Baghdad office, on Wednesday January 20, 2016, his eminence noted the importance of international community involvement to mitigate displaced families suffering and reconstruction of liberated areas, indicating that terrorism targeting Iraq is global, targeting the rest of the world as well and Iraq is fighting in behalf of all nations.

    In respect of security situations, his eminence indicated that ISIS is retreating towards oblivion and the post ISIS phase requires solidified unity, restoring trust among each other and putting commonweal before factional and personal interest.
