Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim discusses with Larijani the security and political situations in the area
Chairman Supreme Islamic Council in Iraq (SICI) met with chairman of the Parliament of Iran Mr. Ali Larijani at his eminence Baghdad office, on January 26 2016, Tuesday.
\r\nHis eminence discussed with Larijani the political and security situations in Iraq and in the area and repeated his call for an Islamic discussion table that respects power parameters, affirming the importance of joining efforts to eliminate the terrorism of ISIS and extreme ideology.
\r\nIn respect of mutual relations between Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim indicated that Iran was one of the first countries supporting Iraq in countering ISIS, calling to maintain cooperation between the two countries at all levels plus coordinating between the legislative institutions of the neighboring countries.
