Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim reiterates his demands for unconditional withdraw of Turkish forces from Iraq
Chairman Supreme Islamic Council in Iraq (SICI) Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim stressed on the importance of respecting Iraq sovereignty indicating that good will should manifest during crises, demanding Turkey to withdraw its forces from Iraq and without any conditions.
\r\nHis eminence met with Turkey ambassador to Iraq Mr. Faruk Kaymakcı on Wednesday 17, February 2016, and his eminence affirmed that the presence of Turkish forces in Iraq will not be a reality, and we will remain consider the incursion of Turkish forces as a breach to Iraq sovereignty, indicating that supporting in counter terrorism is not to be imposed on Iraq and Iraq will determine the form of assistance required and Turkey is not an exception.
\r\nHis eminence valued Iraqi Ministry for Foreign Affairs stand and the way handling the Turkish forces issue and the attention to maintain good relations with adjacent countries, asking Turkey to take example from Iraq regarding this issue, reminding that Iraq is self-sufficient with men and refuses anyone else to fight on behalf.
