    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim to discuss with Special US President Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter ISIS , the battle of Mosul and the recent victories

      Chairman Islamic Supreme Council in Iraq (SICI) Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim met with Special US President Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter ISIS Mr. Brett H. McGurk, at his eminence’s Baghdad office, on March 5, 2016.

    Both sides discussed the inbound battle of Mosul and victories achieved by the security forces, reiterated his assertion that the Mosul is for its people of all components and it is not entitled to the anyone to limit who will participate in liberating Mosul, pointing out that the presence of Turkish troops in Iraq is a clear violation of Iraq\'s sovereignty will not be forgotten by time.

    \r\n

    His eminence called to intensively prepare for the battle of Mosul for the symbolism of this city and being a strong platform to defeat ISIS that attempted to debottleneck itself through the recent security breaches, emphasizing that Iraq is self-sufficient of men and the only thing requested is air support and intelligence information and serious efforts to prevent funding sources of ISIS.

    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim stated that ISIS became a losing bet, and the regional countries and the world are to realize that ISIS presence is a borderless threat having brooders in many countries that would aggravate at the right conditions, warning the expansion of terrorism if allowed to move freely in Iraq.
