Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, stressed on countering corruption away from political projection, calling to isolate the anti-corruption procedures from political outbidding and turn it into an instrument of exploitation, through exaggerating some issues and ignoring the large cases, indicating that this way handling corruption will make it a tool for corruption added to other tools.

This took place during the recent Ramadan evening in his eminence’s Baghdad office Monday, 27/6/2016.

\r\n

His Eminence stressed the importance to counter corruption, according to a plan and clear criteria, calling to adopt a clear vision for the Iraqi economy, stressing the importance of taking legitimate means in profiting away from unlawfully gained money, pointing out that the cogency of faith and the economic system in Islam are of the main factors for the success and prosperity of society, and if this equation was disrupted, then we will face the divine wrath.
