    Sayyid Ammar Al- Hakim discusses with the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Iraq the conditions of the displaced individuals and the reconstruction of liberated cities

    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim, Chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq met with President of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Iraq Katharina Ritz at his Eminence’s office in Baghdad Wednesday, 06/29/2016.

    \r\n

    During the meeting, discussions covered topics related to the situation of displaced people and ways providing assistance during the hot summer season, his Eminence indicated that the best solution for the displaced families is that they return to their original homes after being cleared of terrorism and IEDs.

    \r\n

    Ritz reviewed the most important activities and programs carried out by the ICRC

    \r\n

    towards the displaced people and the aid provided to them.

    \r\n

    His Eminence called on international organizations to have a greater role in caring for displaced people and assess the financial crisis experienced by Iraq in the light of the decline in oil prices and the war on ISIS that Iraq is fighting on behalf of the world, stressing that Iraq is going forward in the liberalization of its territory and very close to accomplish a full victory on ISIS.
