Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim, Chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, at the Ashura Brigades headquarters in Baghdad Friday, 01.07.2016, met with a gathering of Saraya Ashura fighters who had brought victory of Fallujah, praising all the efforts that have been made for the liberation of the homeland and protecting the holy sites.

His Eminence stressed the importance of the popular forces as a strike force in the face of terrorism, noting that the popular forces and the rest of the formations of the Iraqi armed forces have become experienced in the fourth generation wars and has a lot of potential in combat.

in respect of the battle to liberate Mosul, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim confirmed that Mosul is our last battle with ISIS, and the participation of the popular forces is a national necessity imposed by the diversity of the city, indicating that the inputs confirm that ISIS are in its last days and had lost its political leverage, pointing to the need to discuss the post-ISIS phase and prepare a clear roadmap for this upcoming stage.
