    Sayyid Ammar Al- Hakim calls the international community to shoulder its responsibilities towards Iraq and its people

    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim, Chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, called the international community to shoulder its responsibilities towards Iraq and its people, noting that Iraq fighting a war on behalf of the entire world against the fiercest group that violates humanitarian and human rights plus violating of religion and belief, asking, \"When the world will be aware that the safety of its cities starts from burying terrorism in the Iraq?!\" .

    This took place during his eminence meeting with representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations in Iraq Mr. Jan Kubis Tuesday, 07/05/2016.

    \r\n

    His eminence indicated that terrorist attacks taking place in Iraq today are the result of ISIS being broken in battlefield, where it was severely defeated by the armed forces and the sons of the popular forces, and their inability to confrontation caused them to attack innocent unarmed in public markets, noting that terrorism will not stop at the borders, citing to the recent attacks that occurred in Turkey and then Saudi Arabia and other of the world\'s cities, warning of ISIS is shifting from its organizational stage to the ideological support stage, thus any community in the world is no longer immune from this ideology.

    In respect of the political situation, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim renewed his appeal to support the progress in security situation with improvement political, calling for concerted efforts to overcome the political crisis and setting priorities for the liberation of Mosul, urging the United Nations to have a greater role in providing support and relief for the displaced families, pointing out that the humanitarian crisis in Iraq is huge and the international relief efforts should match the magnitude of the challenge.
