    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim: the fatwa of sufficient Jihad had strengthened morale of the military forces and the resistance front against terrorism

    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim, chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, indicated that the fatwa of Sufficient Jihad had strengthened the strengthened morale of the military forces and the resistance front against terrorism, noting that ISIS had been advancing to the Baghdad city borders and had planned to occupy the capital and the entire country afterwards, but the fatwa by Grand Ayatollah Sistani had strengthened military forces and the resistance front and leading to launch the actions of the popular forces and popular resistance forces against the terrorists.

    This took place during a meeting of His Eminence with great religion authorities in Qom Monday, 07/11/2016.

    His eminence also indicated that the situation in Iraq, despite current problems in general, is moving toward improvement and that the efforts of Iraqi army and popular forces are continuing to liberate the remaining areas that are still under the control of terrorists, pointing out that ISIS had occupied at the beginning up to 40 percent of the Iraqi soil reaching the outskirts of Baghdad planning to control the capital of Iraq and then entirely dominate Iraq.

    His eminence stated that in light of the important fatwa issued by Grand Ayatollah Imam Sistani, the popular forces and other popular categories were motivated and furthered military forces starting the serious confrontation against ISIS and terrorists, noting that Iraqis and after two years of vicious battles, were able to liberate a lot of areas controlled by the terrorists, pointing out that the city of Fallujah, which is the most important stronghold for the terrorists had been liberated in unpredicted military operations, yet unfortunately Mosul and some other cities had not been liberated until this moment, expressing his hope to liberate all the areas  that are currently under the control of terrorist groups, which will be achieved by unity and solidarity.
