Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim to discuss with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani the bilateral relations between the two countries and the fight against terrorism
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim, chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, during his visit to Tehran, met President Sheikh Hassan Rouhani Monday, 07/11/2016.
\r\nHis Eminence discussed with Sheikh Rohani the bilateral relations between the two countries at all levels plus the fight against terrorism for being a threat to everyone, noting that Iraq has greatly suffered from terrorism, soon Iraq will get out from the bottleneck after Iraq and Government of Iraq recovered a part of its people who were misled of thinking that terrorism will salvage them.
\r\nSayyid Ammar Al-Hakim stressed the importance of communication between Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran in venues of information exchange and culture and religion, noting the role of the religious authority in Iraq to save the Iraqi project by releasing the Sufficient Jihad Fatwa and assemble the popular forces, which had change the balance of powers against ISIS and ended its existence.
\r\nFrom his part, Rowhani praised the victories achieved in Anbar, Salahuddin and Fallujah, hoping to witness a soon victory in Mosul by the efforts of the Iraqi security forces and the popular forces.
