Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim discusses with the President of Iraq the developments in security and political situation in Iraq and the region
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim, chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, met His Excellency President Fuad Masum at the latter\'s office in Baghdad Monday, 18/7/2016.
\r\nHis Eminence discussed with President Masum the developments in the security and political situation in Iraq and the region. His Eminence pointed out the achievements in sectors of operations located in Fallujah, Anbar and north of Salahuddin and south of Mosul, stressing the near elimination of ISIS in Iraq and the immunization of Iraqi society from ISIS terrorism as it target everyone.
\r\nIn respect of political aspects, his eminence pointed the need to restore the activities of the Iraqi House of Representatives and to promote its legislative and regulatory role, after the end of the constitutional debate regarding its meetings that were conducted during April 2016, calling on the political blocs to cooperate to pass important laws.
\r\nRegional issues were also discussed during the meeting, at which Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim and President Masum agreed on the importance of dialogue and relying to law and the Turkish Constitution, because of the importance of Turkey\'s stability for the stability of the region and Iraq.
