Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim discusses Mosul liberation battle and post-ISIS phase with US Congress delegation headed by Senator Corey Booker
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim, chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, received delegation of the US Congress headed by Senator Corey Booker, at his Baghdad office, Wednesday 17/8/2016
\r\nHis eminence discussed Mosul liberation battle and post-ISIS phase with US Congress delegation, indicating that Iraq is very close to harvest the fruits of patience and sacrifices after reclaiming his people from ISIS, his eminence reiterated emphasis on the five national priorities for post-liberation of Mosul, that include, security strategy basing on intelligence after liberating the Iraqi land, the comprehensive political project that gather all Iraqis in a one unbiased political bloc, reconstruction of cities and returning displaced families, Maintaining Iraqi national cohesion through peaceful coexistence among Iraqi people components, fight corruption and make an inclusive administrative uprise against corruption similar to the uprise against ISIS.
\r\nHis eminence called the international community to cooperate and collaborate in order to mitigate the displacement crisis caused by ISIS, and support Iraq in the humanitarian aspects that is more likely to aggravate after launching Mosul liberation operation, pointing out to the importance of building strategic relations with the United States for the benefit of both sides because of Iraq historical significance and role in the region.
\r\nHis eminence demanded the United States to present a greater role that is proportionate to its weight and magnitude, considering it is a superpower country, and not settle for only condemnation to the events in occurring in Bahrain.
\r\nSenator Booker expressed his admiration to the wise leadership of Sayyid Amar Al-Hakim describing his eminence as the hope to overcome challenges for his eminence’s comprehensive vision and solutions that observe Iraq’s fats.
