Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim, chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, received Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) delegation headed by Mr. Mullah Bakhtiar, at his office in Baghdad Tuesday, 08.23.2016

During the meeting, discussions covered the relationship between the federal government, local governments and the provincial government.

\r\n

His Eminence stressed the importance of political stability for the battle to liberate Mosul and to be attentive to the regional situation and its variables, as well as to prepare for the post–Mosul phase, where the military operations against ISIS will be concluded and security challenges will arise, and according to the information ISIS will relay on its previous methods through sleeper cells or similar methods, stressing the importance of paying attention to the priorities of the phase; which are restitution displaced people to their original areas, achieve civil peace, the reconstruction of cities and provision of services.

his Eminence indicated that Iraq is close to reap the fruits of his patience and asked everyone to assume their responsibilities and to learn lessons from ISIS time that is harsh on everyone, and also indicated Iraq is had - in some extents - overcome the financial crisis, pointing to the importance of visits among the political powers for convergence of views.
