Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim discusses furthering production of oil with the minister of oil
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim , chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, in his office in Baghdad Tuesday, 30.08.2016. received the Minister Oil Mr. Jabbar Luabi.
\r\nHis Eminence discussed with Luabi the importance of furthering production of oil and oil industry and the follow-up on dues of oil companies, noting selecting the minister of oil from the people of Basra is not a matter of coincidence, but was based on believing in the role of Basra province being the economic station of Iraq , and on the competencies that is full of science and knowledge and good governance.
\r\nHis Eminence stressed the importance of self-sufficiency in oil products and continue the projects approved by former ministers, plus paying attention to petrochemical industries, stressing the importance of Iraq\'s active role in the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and support to freeze oil production in order to restore oil prices to normal.
