    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim discuss with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Australia the latest developments in Iraq and the region

    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, chairman of the Iraqi Islamic Supreme Council, at his office in Baghdad Wednesday, 08.31.2016, received Deputy Foreign Minister of Australia Mr. Ric Wells with the attendance of Australia\'s ambassador to Baghdad Mr. Christopher Langman.

    His Eminence discussed with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Australia the developments in the security and political situation in Iraq and the region and the efforts of the international coalition in the fight against terrorism.

    His eminence explained to the Australian guest that Iraq is close to reap the fruits of patience and its confront to terrorism for more than thirteen years, noting that Mosul is the final confrontation with ISIS on military levels, and this impose Iraq to develop a security strategy that matches with the scale of the challenge, building a political umbrella venture that includes all the components of Iraq, as well as provide care for the displaced people and restitution of the displaced families to their original areas after reconstructing their destroyed cities and emphasis on the importance of civil peace.
