Chairman of the Iraqi National Alliance to discuss with United States Deputy Secretary of State the battle of Mosul and the post-Daesh phase
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim , chairman of the Iraqi National Alliance in his office in Baghdad Wednesday, 14.09.2016 received United States Deputy Secretary of State, who is visiting Baghdad Mr. Tony Blinken.
\r\nHis Eminence discussed with Blinken the security and political situation in Iraq and the region, as well as discussing the post-Daesh phase and the battle to liberate Mosul, stressing the need to unify the national front and frame the battle with government approval to accept or refuse the participation of any party.
\r\nHis eminence indicated that the Iraqi state needs to be restructured in order to reduce corruption and bureaucracy, praising the effort of the National Alliance and the United Nations on the historic settlement.
\r\nHis eminence meeting with United States Deputy Secretary of State also covered topics related to the region, including the crisis in Bahrain as well as the importance of settling the Syrian and Yemeni issues.
