Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim receives Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim, head of the Iraqi National Alliance, at his office in Baghdad Friday, 23.09.2016 received Chairman of the Assembly of Experts and the head of the Guardian Council in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Sheikh Ahmad Jannati.
\r\nSayyid Ammar Al-Hakim discussed with His Eminence Sheikh Jannati the bilateral relations between Iraq and Iran, as well as developments in the security and political situation in Iraq and the region. The two sides stressed the importance of unity and solidarity among the Iraqi people to overcome the crisis, head of the Iraqi National Alliance praised the role of the Islamic Republic Iran in the fight against terrorism and supporting Iraq in confronting Daesh.
\r\nSayyid Ammar Al-Hakim reiterated emphasis on settling the military confrontation with Daesh, stressing that Mosul is the final confrontation with Daesh and then the security challenge will be addressed which requires taking the priorities into account that include the security strategy, comprehensive political project, civil peace and the reconstruction of the cities and restitution of the displaced families to their original areas.
\r\nAyatollah Jannati Sheikh congratulated Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim his assumption the presidency of the Iraqi National Alliance, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim indicated that work is under way to institutionalize the Iraqi National Alliance and the formation of committees and the holding of the General Authority meeting, stressing that the Iraqi National Alliance strength will strengthen the political process for being the biggest political bloc.
