Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim to discuss the role of the Iraqi National Alliance in achieving national unity with al-Jaafari
Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Iraqi National Alliance, met with Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari at the latter’s office in Baghdad Tuesday, 04.10.2016.
\r\nHis eminence discussed with Mr. Jaafari the unity of the Iraqi National Alliance, and its role in achieving national unity and protecting the democratic practice in Iraq, stressing the importance of institutionalizing the Iraqi National Alliance and holding regular meetings.
\r\nThe meeting’s discussion also covered the trip of Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari attending the meetings of the General Assembly of the United Nations and the Non-Aligned Movement in the capital of Venezuela, Caracas, and Mr. Jaafari affirmed to Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim the importance of a strong presence of Iraq in these international activities in order to explain the Iraqi experience and to identify points of Iraq\'s strength in confronting terrorism and overcoming the financial crisis due to drop in oil prices.
