Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, calling for a united media front to support military operations
Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Iraqi National Alliance, stressed the importance role of media in encountering Daesh, because media one of the most important weapons of the battle in the light of availability of informative resources and the spread of various types and topics of social media websites, calling for a unified media front against terrorism based on the information and unified discourse.
\r\nThis took place during his eminence meeting with representatives of the Union of Islamic Channels in his office in Baghdad Thursday, 20/10/2016.
\r\nHis eminence recalled how media initiative was in the hands of Daesh in the beginning of the fight against Daeah, however soon the media surges of terrorists was defeated by the determination of the military surges. and the psychological warfare that Daesh had started bounced against the terrorists coinciding with the liberation of Iraqi soil in a record time, stressing that the battle of Mosul need to be covered by the type of media that reflect the prime patriotic battle of Mosul considering that Mosul is the city of all and a small sample of Iraq.
