    General Authority of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq : the national settlement bill is a roadmap for communal harmony and construction of the country

    The General Authority of Islamic Supreme Council of Iraql held its regular meeting in the presence of head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, members of the General Authority and the Political Bureau and the Executive Office, to discuss the security, political and economic status of Iraq , this took place at the office of Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim,in Baghdad Friday, 28.10,2016.

    In the ambience of the month of Muharram and the victories achieved by the security forces and the populsr mobilization forces, Peshmerga and the Iraqi tribes forces resistance, and in line with the regional changes taking place in security, political and economic domains, and in an affirmation of the unity of Iraq\'s land, people and fate, the meeting concluded in a number of recommendations on political, economic and media level.

    \r\n

    In respect of the political aspects, the conferees praised the role of supreme religious authority in the protection of the people and taking care of the national earnings and democracy, as well as the role of the core institution the Iraqi National Alliance, and the role of its new presidency in cementing its role and supporting it with qualitative capabilities and energies. The conferees congratulated the Iraqi people for the victories on Daesh and the need for the total liberation of the land from the defile terrorism and restitution of displaced people to their homes and rebuild their cities. The conferees described the bill of national settlement a roadmap to communal harmony and constructing the country a formula to save the country and the society, and a political project that should be adopted to bring military victories, especially after the approval of the Iraqi national Alliance\'s powers and the United Nations and then pass it to partners and countries of the region.

    The conferees as in all previous conferences stressed the unity of all Iraqi soil, warning from any violation to the sovereignty of Iraq and under any pretext, denouncing the the recent violations to the borders of Iraq, calling for a dialogue to solve regional conflicts and aim for mutual respect between involved parties and to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and friendship.

    The conferees felt that the post-Daesh phase is very dangerous and important, which requires supporting the elected national government in the process of enhancing trust to the state and the establishment of reforms, national settlement, the fight against corruption and provide security and services. The conferees valued the tangible progress in the actions of the Iraqi House of Representatives urging the Al-Muwatin bloc and the rest of the blocs to enact laws set forth by the Constitution .

    In respect of economic issues, the conferees suggested to assemble a committee that makes decisions binding and extents with the Constitution, considering the Board of Reconstruction a proper framework to perform this step, stressing on shifting from the rentier state to levy state , an end to state monopolizing economy, encourage private sector and investment and diversify the economy, including the investment of raw oil and gas, demanding enactment of laws of oil and gas , financial distribution and oil and gas national company, as well as emphasis on attention to the housing sector to solve the housing crisis through the distribution houses to low-income individuals with a realestate loan and low prices and converting the closed state-owned enterprises into profitable projects.
