    Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim receives Ambassador of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation to Iraq

    Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, at his office in Baghdad on Sunday, 06.11. 2016, received the ambassador of the Islamic Cooperation Organization to Iraq, Mr. Saleh al-Shairi.

    His eminence with Ambassador Shairi conferred on the Mosul Offensive operations, the requirements of the battle and the achieved victories, praising the high level of coordination between the military forces’ factions participating in the battle, including the Iraqi army and federal police and Popular Mobilization Forces, tribal forces and Peshmerga. The meeting also covered the post-Daesh phase and necessity of managing each province by its own natives disregarding of their national association.

    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim stated that the nation\'s clerics are the first line in the restoring the humanitarian blaze of the Islamic World project, and here lies the real action for the awareness and guidance, stressing the importance of the unity of discourse in the face of terrorism, extremism and Takfir.

    His eminence praised the role of the United Nations in supporting the national settlement bill that the National Iraqi Alliance will forward on local and regional levels.

    \r\n

    For his part, Ambassador al-Shairi expressed full support to the national settlement bill initiative and readiness to cooperate and make efforts to implement the initiative on ground.
