The head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, emphasized Iraq desire to establish the best relations with friendly countries, including New Zealand and the importance of investing for the interest of the two friendly peoples

This took place during his eminence meeting with the ambassador of New Zealand in Baghdad Mr. James Monroe Tuesday, 29.11.2016.

\r\n

During the meeting discussions covered bilateral relations between the two countries and practical ways to solidifying cooperation, pointing out that the priorities of the Iraqi government at this stage is to confront the terrorism and economic challenges, and exit from the current crisis. His eminence urged the New Zealand government to contribute in the provision of economic support for Iraq through expanding investment prospects between the two countries, as well as humanitarian support by contributing to the reconstruction of liberated areas.
