Presided by Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the National Iraqi Alliance, the Political Authority holds its regular meeting
The Political Authority of the National Iraqi Alliance discussed outcomes of We Are Coming, Nineveh operations congratulating the big victories achieved by our security heroic forces. The Political Authority praised the high level of organising and vast participation during the recent Arbaeen Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) pilgrimage rituals.
\r\nThe meeting took place at the Office of the head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim Tuesday, 29.11.2016.
\r\nMeeting attendees affirmed to continue approaching various political parties on the placed national settlement initiative, stressing the importance of the aforementioned initiative for the next phase, Political Authority discussions also covered the mechanisms of selecting chairmen of committees of the National Iraqi Alliance, through establishing appropriate mechanisms that will be conducive to the unity of the National Iraqi Alliance and to strengthening made decisions, plus furthering the National Iraqi Alliance to be a political institution that support affiliated members of parliament and ministers, and the National Iraqi Alliance legislative role in the adoption important laws that serve the interests of the Iraqi people and prioritizing laws proposed for enactment. Attendees stressed the need to accelerate the formation of the Human Rights Commission and the selection of its members on competence basis for the role in preserving the Iraqi individual, protecting his dignity and rights and defend it in international forums. In conclusion, it was agreed to convene a general meeting of the board of Governors and the chairmen of the provincial councils affiliated to the National Iraqi alliance.
