Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim meets a group of special needs individuals
Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, urged related institutions and governmental departments to exert more efforts for care provision to people with special needs, stressing the need to promote their overall status and put them in the list of priorities.
\r\nThis took place during his eminence meeting with a group of special needs individuals at his office in Baghdad Saturday, 3/12/2016. His eminence demanded a parliamentary action to pass enactments for the mentally and physically challenged poeple. Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim emphasized that that the real disability is mental and intellectual represented by Daesh and their ideologies that are rejected by everyone, adding that the ((Empowering Them)) initiative must be one of the clauses in the government\'s reform program as this handle an important and large segment of society, and especially since Iraq is one of the countries having an increasing high number of people with special needs, because of wars and terrorist attacks.
