    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the National Iraqi Alliance receives Sudanese Ambassador to Iraq

    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the National Iraqi Alliance, received Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to Iraq Mr. Mohammed Omar Moussa.

    The meeting took place in the office of head of the National Iraqi Alliance Sunday, 04.12.2016, and discussions covered a general overview of common interests and means to strengthen and support the bilateral relations between Iraq and the Sudan to serve the interest of the two brotherly peoples.

    The meeting also discussed the latest political and security situation in Iraq and the region, his eminence stressed the importance of National Settlement Bill and its necessity to contain the outcomes after liberating the Iraqi soil from terrorist Daesh, explaining that the United Nations adopted promoting for the National Settlement Bill internally and externally, and that the project\'s clauses would remove all the bruit raised opposing its enactment. Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim stressed the importance of adopting the popular Mobilization Forces Act to protect the popular mobilization units legally and bear arms exclusively through the government, and protect the popular mobilization units from penetrations, pointing out the humanitarian aspects of the enactment of this law that would keep the rights of fighters.

    The Sudanese ambassador expressed his happiness to the meeting forwarding his congratulations to Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim for presiding the National Iraqi Alliance.
