    Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, meets US ambassador to Iraq and discuss providing support for the Iraqi military and developments in security and politics

    Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, at his office in Baghdad met US ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Douglas Silliman Tuesday, 27/12/2016.

    During the meeting discussions covered the latest developments of military operations and We Are Coming, Nineveh operations, and the humanitarian reasons that slows military advancement, in addition to discussing ways protect unarmed civilians utilized by Daesh as human shields during the ongoing war, and the needed to procedures to complete the liberation of Mosul and the resettlement of displaced individuals, and ways to promote an atmosphere of understanding and dialogue between the parties to the political process and all components of the Iraqi people.

    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim stressed the importance of significant development in the Iraqi relations with various global and regional countries in the light of the political, security and economic developments in the region in general, adding that all of Iraq\'s neighboring countries are concerned of the events in Iraq and seek Iraq’s stability so as to ensure its own status, thus reinforcing Iraq regional and international position.

    \r\n

    His eminence pointed out that the National Alliance as a senior partner in the country presented a project of national settlement that reinforces the principle of unity and the protection of citizens\' rights, a project to build a state to make all Iraqis first class citizens.
