Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim calls for more cooperation between Iraq and the countries of the region
Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, urged for greater cooperation in security, political, economic and social aspects between Iraq and the countries of the region, stressing that Iraq is an integral part of this region and that the Iraqi government is making efforts to further and develop bilateral relations with the countries of the region.
\r\nThis took place during his eminence\'s meeting with the Egyptian ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Ahmed Hassan Ibrahim Darwish, at his eminence\'s office in Baghdad Tuesday, 03.01.2017.
\r\nThe meeting covered reviewing the progress of bilateral relations between Baghdad and Cairo, and procedures of enhancing relations for the interests of the two brotherly peoples, also reviewing the latest political, economic and security developments in Iraq and the region.
\r\nSayyid Ammar al-Hakim stressed Iraq\'s desire to build strategic relations and strengthening bilateral relations with countries in the region, plus opening opportunities for companies investment to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples, and to increase the range of cooperation in all domains, and exploiting challenges facing the region for creating coordinated positions and respond to attempts aimed to divide the Arab and destabilized Region.
\r\nFor his part, his excellency Egyptian Ambassador Darwish praised the role of Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim that call for unity, dialogue and political and security stability in Iraq and the region, praising the great efforts exerted by Iraqis in the face of terrorist groups of Daesh.
