Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim receives US ambassador to Iraq
Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, received the US ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Douglas Silliman Thursday, 26/01/2017 at his eminence’s Baghdad office.
\r\nDuring the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest developments in the war on Daesh, the progress of politics in Iraq and the role of the United States in supporting Iraq logistically, and bilateral relations between the two countries, his eminence stressed the necessity for the continuation of international community to support Iraq in its war against terrorist Daesh and that Iraq is fighting on behalf of the world, especially since Iraq is on the verge of the militarily resolution of the battle.
\r\nHead of the National Iraqi Alliance stressed that the successive victories of Iraqi security forces in the We Are Coming Nineveh operations was achieved by the valiantly and courage of Iraqis that clinched the battle on the left bank of Mosul, awaiting the liberation of right bank of Mosul and the remaining of Nineveh province areas.
