Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, affirmed that the national settlement project is a comprehensive venture with complete dimensions that determine the features of building a just state, stressing adherence to Iraq after the 2003, and not to return to square one, denying that the project is for gratifications and nepotism at the expense of the country.\r\n
His eminence stated in a speech at the Iraq Tribes Conference held at the Sunni Endowment Saturday, 28/01/2017, \"We need a national action stemming from heart and conscience,\" pointing to the need to take thoughtful steps that make everyone feel justice away from injustice and discrimination.\r\n
Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim pointed out that the Iraqi tribes represent the pillar and real guarantee for country\'s unity and that the tribe is not a backwardness nor intersect with civilization adding that \"we will emerge strong from this ordeal thanks to the variety and geographical location, and the extremism and narrow-mindedness are foreign cultures to the Iraqi society. \"\r\n
Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim explained that nearly a million displaced people in the southern regions coexist and engage in their business without obstacles or sectarian problems, adding that those who target the settlement because of their goods are sectarian, stressing that the victories of Iraqis will be a foundation for the start of the settlement project and carrying it out.\r\n
Head of the National Iraqi Alliance warned from those who want to make Iraq under international trusteeship under the pretext of guarantees, noting that rejecting the settlement project means the continuation of violence cycle of and confidence crisis.
