    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim receives Australian Ambassador to Iraq to discuss relations between the two countries

    Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, in his office in Baghdad Wednesday, 08.02.2017 received Australian Ambassador to Baghdad Mr. Christopher Langman.

    His eminence discussed with Langman the bilateral relations between Iraq and Australia in the political, military, economic and cultural domains, noting that the new Iraq is open to the world and seeks to build better relations with the countries of the region and the world, calling to benefit from other peoples experiments to save Iraq from its current crises.

    \r\n

    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim reviewed with Langman developments in the security and political situation in Iraq and the region, and the war against Daesh that approached the final stages, pointing out that Iraq is fighting on behalf of the world and that the keeping safety of cities in the world no matter how far they are located will begin in defeating terrorism in Mosul, once and for all and cutting financial and intellectual resources to terrorist groups.

    The Australian Ambassador praised the victories achieved by the security forces to restore Mosul, expressing his country\'s support for Iraq in the face of terrorism and the reconstruction of the cities, and to remove of odds and ends of Daesh.
