Central Shura of Mehrab Martyr Movement discusses lliberating the right bank in Mosul and post-Daesh phase
Central Shura of Mehrab Martyr Movement held a broadened regular meeting chaired by head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, at his eminence office in Baghdad Monday, 13/2/2017.
\r\nThe meeting examined the regional and international developments and their reflection on the situation in Iraq and focused efforts to liberalize the right bank of Mosul, praising the victories achieved by the security forces in Mosul. Sayyid ammar al-Hakim reiterated his call for the necessity of preparing security plans to face the security challenge after defeating Daesh militarily, because it is likely that Daesh will activate sleeping cells to target civilians, which requires more intelligence effort.
\r\nin respect of the recent demonstrations, the conferees confirmed that demonstrations are constitutional right, calling for caution and attention of lurking infiltrators who attempt to disrupt the peacefulness of demonstrations, stressing on taking current challenges into account, especially the war against Daesh gangs. His eminence pointed out the importance of the National Settlement project as an inevitable option in accordance to the Constitution the law and the developments of the political process, and there is no turning back with the absolute rejection of any international trusteeship. the conferees discussed the activities of the National Iraqi Alliance visiting to the provinces so as to enhance its national role and learn about the suffering and problems of citizens and local governments in order to work to resolve them in cooperation with the committees of the National Iraqi Alliance in parliament or in the cabinet utilizing the available potentials .
\r\nThe upcoming elections had been a key topic covered during the meeting, the conferees stressed the importance of the electoral practice as a basis of the democratic process, stressing the activation of the Experts Committee in the Iraqi parliament and expedite procedures for selecting new elections commission and the enactment of a just law that keeps the electoral votes and pay attention to the nature of political system in the parliament.
