General Authority of the National Iraqi Alliance and during its regular meeting under the chairmanship of head of the National Iraqi Alliance Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, called to study the demands of demonstrators and carry out the applicable issues Wednesday 22/02/2017.
\r\nGeneral Authority indicated that demonstrating is a constitutional right guaranteed by the Constitution and the law, and the need for providing legal requirements, emphasize on peacefulness , attention to public and private interest of people, avoid Immobilization in the capital Baghdad, additionally the managers of demonstrations should watch for lurking infiltrators and to concentrate efforts toward the threat posed by Daesh terrorism, stressing on enactment of freedom of expression law to make it possible for all to organize demonstrations in a way that keeps the rights of all.
\r\nIn respect of the battle of Mosul, conferees expressed support and sustenance to security forces and to speed up the liberalization of Tall Afar and to enable its people from managing the security and retake the Iraqi soil post-Daesh. The General Authority discussed security aspects in Baghdad and other provinces and came up with several recommendations, including setting a security strategy for the post-Daesh , activation of intelligence effort, addressing tribal conflicts and focus on countering organized crime , reducing numbers of checkpoints , rely on modern technology , keeping the prestige of the state and deepen security culture among Iraqi citizens.
\r\nThe meeting included a presentation of Prime Minister and Commander of the Armed Forces attending Munich Conference on global security, which has touched on the centrality of the popular mobilization forces and the role of security forces in keeping the people and liberate the land.
